Jasmine Brown-Melchor is the founding partner of JBM LAW, LLC based in Atlanta, Georgia. Jasmine is experienced in handling both felonies and misdemeanors and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

As a former DeKalb County public defender, Jasmine has handled over a thousand cases ranging from serious felonies to misdemeanor offenses and municipal traffic violations. Jasmine provides a realistic and straightforward approach to solving complex legal problems of all types. She has extensive experience defending clients in challenging situations and achieving successful outcomes.

Before becoming an attorney, Jasmine worked as a paralegal in Charlotte, North Carolina handling investigation and research on felony drug and murder cases in preparation for trial. Jasmine has over 10 years of experience in criminal defense and her passion is helping those facing challenging situations.

Jasmine, as a dual major, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Spanish from Appalachian State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2017 and is licensed to practice in the Superior Court, Court of Appeals, and all lower courts in the State of Georgia. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, watching documentaries, and attending Atlanta United games.
